What belongs in the application?
Follow the vacancy instructions. An application letter explains your connection to the role; a clear CV presents your career. A separate motivation letter may also be requested. Check the employer’s terminology and file requirements.

Application letter and motivation
Explain your suitability through specific tasks in the application letter. If a separate motivation letter is requested, expand the reasoning instead of repeating the same text.
A CV with understandable experience
Connect dates, employer, location and role. A Vienna example: “Team assistant – coordinated appointments for two teams.” Concrete scope tells the reader more than “excellent organiser”.
Explain qualifications from abroad
State the qualification, institution and country, with a brief explanation of relevant content. Check recognition requirements with the official body for the specific profession; an application template does not establish equivalence.
Applying with international experience
Describe experience abroad with its location, country and tasks. Distinguish application language from your actual proficiency. Explain a qualification clearly without claiming an unconfirmed equivalence.
Guide for expats and international professionalsReview the vacancy before writing
