Swiss job applications: dossier, language and international experience
What to check for a Swiss application: requested documents, language region and clearly explained experience from abroad.

Short answer
Follow the specific vacancy. In Switzerland, “application dossier” commonly refers to the CV, letter and relevant supporting evidence. The language region and employer instructions matter; a German CV does not automatically suit every Swiss vacancy.
A worked example
Fictional international application for project assistance in Zurich.
Before
Operations Executive, 2022–2025.
After
Operations Executive, Lernbeispiel, Kraków, Poland, 2022–2025 – coordinated schedules for two teams and documented customer enquiries.
Assemble the dossier as requested
Read file requirements, submission method and requested evidence before exporting. Choose documents relevant to the role. A larger dossier is not automatically more useful. Check that names, dates and roles match across the CV and letter.
Consider the role’s language
Switzerland includes several language regions and international employers. Follow the vacancy language or an explicit instruction. State your actual proficiency. Website language and application language are separate decisions.
Explain experience across borders
An unfamiliar employer name says little about your task. Add location, country and a brief description of responsibility. Keep original role and qualification titles when a direct translation would mislead. Use the responsible official body for recognition questions.
