ChatGPT or an application workspace: what to compare

Compare source evidence, correction, document versions and workflow. Practical criteria without unsupported success promises.

    Short answer

Compare the workflow, rather than text output alone. Can you review the CV and vacancy as sources, correct false claims and find the documents used later? A chat and an application workspace may support different parts of the work; test them on the same case.

    A worked example

Fictional comparison using the same workshop experience and vacancy.

    Before

Text A sounds better, so the tool is better.

    After

Check workshop numbers, role titles and budget claims in both outputs. Correct one error and later find the version actually used.

    Compare the same source case

Use identical profile facts and the same vacancy. Otherwise you are comparing different inputs rather than workflows. Mark which claims in the output come from which source. Polished text without a reviewable basis is not a reliable application.

    Check correction and reuse

Try correcting an inaccurate responsibility. Check whether the edit appears in the document and whether you can distinguish source and final versions. Reuse saves work only when old employer names and vacancy references are not carried over by accident.

    Assess the scope honestly

DraftApply’s public preview starts with a letter from a vacancy. The workspace connects additional application steps. Check the functions you need and current prices on the product page. This article does not claim measured superiority or a success rate over another tool.
